Joyce Pan and David Aks, Celtic Duo

Joyce & David, Celtic Duo

Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.
Free Admission ~ Voluntary offering

Joyce Pan (fiddler) and David Aks (cellist), both from similar classical backgrounds, met in the Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles as they were both discovering the amazing world of Celtic fiddling. With the Fiddlers, they found a world of extraordinary musicians playing music that was full of life, passion and unbridled joy. In nothing flat, they were hooked!

Experience the opening piece from Joyce & David’s 2022 Friends of Music concert:

Joyce and David’s music can best be described as “Contemporary Celtic,” a mixture old, new, and original tunes infused with toe-tapping, foot-stomping rhythmic grooves. Their inspirations include such amazing artists as Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas, Jeremy Kittle, Hanneke Cassell, and Mike Block.

Their recently-released album, NEW ROADS, can be purchased or downloaded at their Bandcamp page, and more info is available at their Facebook page.

Parking: there is free street parking around PPC all day Saturdays. See our map page for other parking options.
