Praised by Opera News for her “shining soprano that skated blithely over the coloratura,” South Korean soprano Dr. Yeseul Choi has captivated audiences around the world with her radiant voice and dynamic performances. Dr. Choi’s illustrious career spans roles in beloved operas such as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Juliette in Roméo et Juliette, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Norina in Don Pasquale. Her portrayal of Fire, Princess, and Nightingale in L’enfant et les sortilèges with Michigan State University Opera during the 2021/22 season earned critical acclaim, as did her performance of Marietta’s Lied in the “Beautiful Voice” concert at Fairchild in 2022. Dr. Choi’s artistry extends beyond the opera stage.
