The “King of Instruments” takes center stage in this concert, as Pasadena Presbyterian Church’s magnificent Æolian-Skinner pipe organ is heard with string orchestra. Timothy Howard is organist and John Magnussen is percussionist with the Friends of Music Orchestra, conducted by Jeffrey Schindler.

This year’s installment of the /än ′ sämbəl/ series again features unusual and rarely heard works for organ and string orchestra, plus Nico Muhly’s Beaming Music for organ and marimba.
