Jonathan Mack presents “A Gershwin Songbook”

Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.
Free Admission ~ Voluntary offering

Jonathan Mack and Mark Robson present a set of songs by George and Ira Gershwin, along with stories of the brothers’ lives and some special surprises.

The Gershwin brothers, George and Ira, literally gave voice to the sounds and style of the Jazz Age. As songwriters, they worked almost exclusively as a team from 1924 until George’s untimely death in 1937, during which time they created more than two dozen scores for Broadway and Hollywood. Together, they are credited with elevating the musical comedy to a true American art form.

Friends of Music concerts are always open to the public and free of admission charge.
