From the Renaissance to the 21st century, Modern Brass plays the finest music written for brass. The members of the group have freelance careers centered in Los Angeles and have performed and recorded all over the world as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral players. The group was formed to explore the world of brass chamber music and present concerts of new, old, and noteworthy compositions.

Made up of five of southern California’s finest brass players (two trumpets, a french horn, trombone and tuba), this quintet has been in residence at Pasadena Presbyterian Church since 1992.
